After leaving the Boston Common, attendees of the Nov. 18, 2017 'Rally for the Republic' marched to the state house to demonstrate while police locked down the streets barring anyone from getting near enough to talk or listen to the group's message.
Attendees of the Rally for the Republic were being protested for being alleged "white supremacists." Their message of loving America, liberty and freedom was construed by protesters bearing communist flags as a message of white supremacy.
Because of the police de facto martial law on the common, people were unable to engage in a dialogue as many people were not allowed entry into the area. Those that were were kept hundreds of yards away.
