BOSTON, MA — A Boston pastor was arrested Friday on child rape charges. George Swain, 71, is charged with multiple counts of rape of a child and indecent assault and battery of a child under 14, Boston police said.
Swain was arrested at the same address as the Greater Victory Temple in Mattapan. NBC Boston first reported that Swain is a pastor there.
Swain is scheduled to be arraigned Monday morning. The Suffolk District Attorney's office said more information will be made available at his arraignment.
